Thanksgiving in Vegas: Part 3

Friday: Continued.... After the boys finished playing and we all got cleaned up for the evening we drove over to The Golden Nugget to meet up with Wagoners.
We went outside into the closed walkway of the old strip to hang out and let the kids wander before heading to dinner at a Tepanyaki type restaurant.
Jake was so great to play with the kiddos and entertain them (perhaps partially entertaining himself also)
(besides Kotah's photo bomb... this is a good picture of Jer and I)
(above: the slide that goes into the hotel pool takes you through the shark tank)
Below: the kids taking in some of the sights
I got the following pictures of the team receiving their awards from Jer's phone...
The boys giving their cheer One Last Time:.
"Who are we?"..."Royals"
"What?"... "Royals"
"What do we do?"... "WIN"
"What do we do?"... "WIN"
"Royals on three... one...two...three"... "ROYALS"
And the season was FINALLY over... after 5 months of practicing at least 3 days a week and game, these boys really were GREAT kids to be around.
Kotah wanted a picture with his coaches... Hope to see you again NEXT YEAR!

Saturday, November 29th
We slept in this day and cleaned up around the apartment, doing laundry and dishes, packing most of our things for the drive home on Sunday.  The older boys' game was at 1 o'clock so we grabbed some lunch and headed to the fields.  They were so much fun to watch.  This is their 3 year going to Vegas and this was the first time they'd won a game... and then Saturday the WON AGAIN, a close one that came down to time just running out for the other team.

After the game we had promised to take OUR kids to Las Vegas Mini Grand Prix.  I didn't pay to ride any of the rides, just went along with Kaiya as her chaperone on the rides.  All the boys got to go on the Go-Karts (their favorite part)...
Kotah was tall enough to drive himself on this particular track, but Kenai had to ride shotgun with Jeremiah... and played a little "photographer" for us all to enjoy.
Apparently Kotah one the first time... look out streets in a bout 6 years.
There was a ride called the "Tornado", a big slide, (below) the Dragon, an Airplane ride and a tiny Go-Kart track for even Kaiya to drive on...
The first few laps, Kaiya kept going into the pit and then back onto the course... the worker finally stood out at the end of the pit area to point for her to stay on the circle course...
Kenai was MUCH FASTER than the other little ones on the track this time around, and he'd get upset when they'd bump him (because you aren't suppose to bump) haha
Then Kenai rode the Dragon Roller Coaster with me and Kaiya while Jeremiah and Kotah did the big Go-Karts again... Kotah beat him again haha
Gotta say, these kids sure do have my thrill for excitement (or at least they did this day).
As the sun set on another fun family day and a GREAT evening of entertainment we got in ONE LAST "ride" and then headed off to meet Wagoners again for dinner (they had spent their day down on the STRIP)
This place was so much fun we ALMOST gave in a bought season passes for Lagoon, but after talking to our (sensible) kids, they informed us that they'd rather spend the summer doing other things, like CAMPING... so here's hoping that works out like we're hoping.
We had dinner and then parted ways again, for the last time, with Wagoners.  We headed on back to the apartment to prepare for our early morning departure.

Sunday, November 30
I'll keep this short... We left about 7 o'clock (UTAH time)
-Pulled off in Mesquite, NV when Kaiya puked ALL OVER HERSELF AND HER CAR SEAT
-Made it to Cedar City with 3 sleeping kiddos and pulled off for a late breakfast.
-Had to pull off here and there all along the way home due to the sick little girl, but the boys did a GREAT job keeping her entertained with the DVD players and she slept quite a bit also.
-We arrived home about 3 in the afternoon
-Went to my parents for Sunday dinner
-Ended up in bed by 7:30 that night with everything unpacked/washed/homework packed and ready for school in the morning.
(in the morning: Jer stayed home from work sick and I took the boys to school, Kotah was the only on at his school that showed up... MOST of the rest of the team got a late start and got stuck South of the Virgin River Gorge due to a roll over accident that STOPPED traffic for a few hours.  I was so thankful that we headed out before the sun was up, after hearing that)

Until Next time...
THE END
