Kenai's Preschool Field Trip

On Tuesday, October 11, 2011

Kenai's Preschool went to Black Island Farms in Syracuse for their field trip. We got there at 9AM and it wasn't too cold, but YES it was CHILLY. The kids all gathered together with the escorts and loaded on to the trailer that was pulled out to the pumpkin patch by a tractor. They took the kids out and showed them the carrot and cabbage fields. They talked to the kids about the different types they grow and why some look so different (like if a bug takes a bite out of it and then the carrot grows another "finger"). After visiting those fields we went on over to the actual pumpkin patch. The kids were then unloaded and allowed to walk through the pumpkins to find the one they wanted to take home. When they found theirs they were to raise their hand and wait for the farmers to come around and cut the stem.

Kenai got one for himself as well as Kaiya.
After I got Kenai back in the trailer Kotah came with me and was able to pick his also.

Since we figured it would be fun for all the kids my Mom came with Jovi and Syrie brought Stryder. (I didn't get a picture of Syrie and Stryder... sorry)

After loading back on the trailer and heading back to the entrance it started to sprinkle on us and Kenai put up his hood... He was getting "really cold" he said.

Kotah went to school with Ross last year and this is Clarrisa Ross's little sister. She was so cute the entire ride back... most of the time Kotah had his arm around her and she was leaning on him while he was telling her story after story... haha (isn't she so cute?)

Here is the whole bunch after they were unloaded from the trailer...(Kenai is in the front on the right side.)

I also got this picture by the entrance as we were leaving (we didn't stay to play in the cold... instead we went to Arby's for lunch with my dad)

Kenai, Stryder, Jovi, and Kotah by the entrance.

Good Times were had by Most.

That looks like so much fun! I hope I'm a cool mom like you. Also, LOVE the first picture, you look wonderful with all of your kids. :)
