Jer's Month of Change

So this last few weeks have been extremely stressful for our family... WELL, at least for me. Jeremiah was given the opportunity to take a new job working for BoEiNg in Salt Lake and although we were led to believe that this would be the greatest career move for him we have since decided that NO, INDEED IT WAS NOT!!! The sucky thing is he really LOVED his job working on Hill A.F.B. with the guys that re-paint the A-10s and C-130s. He liked his co-workers, he liked what it was he was doing and he especially liked the shift he was on (SWING). So if he loved his job so much why did he decide to leave???? Well, he was led to believe that all the current contractors would be let go come the start of the year and he figured timing was no coincidence for this other opportunity to present itself. We did all the application process, paperwork, and JER totally NaiLed the interview so we figured even though it was further away from home, less money and a harder (DAY) shift he would take it and hope to be able to work Overtime to compensate... Well after he got started they THEN informed him he'd be working a SPLIT SHIFT after his training... that he WOULD NOT be able to work any overtime and that they WOULD NOT be offering him the same type of insurance as the employees that had already finished their training... WHAT THE _ _ _ _ DID WE JUST DO???? Right? I have been crying almost everyday since his first day at this new job. We have both felt so totally miss-led, miss-guided and flat out LIED to... Sooooo, what does Jeremiah do??? He calls up his job from on base. He is completely honest about what has happened and why he is in the position he is and after several days of talking on the phone with several different bosses they have agreed to give him his job back (they are working on all the security issues currently) we will just have to be a little more patient and power through these next few work days/weeks until that is all finalized before he is able to get back to what it is he loves to do...
