WFFL: PeeWee Football

So long soccer.... there's a new kid in town and he is LOVING FOOTBALL

August 16th was his first game at Brigham City (they lost).... it was a confusing and sad game for the boys.  Kotah played both ways and hardly got a rest.  He was not the only kid playing that much, and the parents of those kids NOT playing had a lot to say after the game.
Jeremiah and I didn't care either way.  We knew it was Kotah's first year and we knew that every child is required to play at least 10 plays a game so we were pleasantly surprised to see Kotah play so much.
August 23rd was his second game.  They played at Clearfield High School (CHS) ON the football field.  It was so so SO much fun watching this game.  Kotah was one of the captains (on the left below)

Kotah called the coin toss and won.  They deferred and after Clearfield didn't score Kotah and the rest of the offensive team headed out to the field.  There were MANY changes from the previous week... Kotah moved from running back/offense/defense to just OFFENSIVE LINE...
The whole game Kotah was on the "strong side" meaning whichever side the play was going to that is the side he was on and blocking for.  If the quarterback keeps the ball they are running right behind Kotah up the middle.

(below) Kotah is on the -left- line, closest to the camera...
(below) Kotah is blocking #83 as the quarterback is handing off the ball to come around to this side.

This game went into OVERTIME.  The other team got the ball first and scored.  Each team gets a chance to score from the 10 yard line. We got a 15 yard penalty moving us back to the 25... we were able to gain that yardage back, so had we NOT gotten the penalty we would've been in the end zone.
