Kotah's Lacrosse

This season was one of learning.  We were all learning HOW the game is played and the different positions, field markings, rolls of the players on the field.

Kotah was a 2nd grader playing with the 3/4 graders.  Their team struggled on defense, but still played so hard each and every game.
Kotah played a lot of mid field... which meant he ran and RAN A LOT

After the season ended (the last game was the last Saturday in May) there were tryouts for a team to play the following weekend in a Tournament in Layton.  At first Kotah said he didn't want to tryout, but after talking to him he decided he'd just go to the tryouts so he'd at least know what they were like.
He was one of two 2nd graders to make the 17 man roster.  They played a total of 4 games and EVERY team they played were traveling comp teams.  They did score in every game and in the final game Kotah had 2 shots on goal where the goalie had to make the save.

am so proud of how much he has learned this year.  He loves Lacrosse more than any other activity he has been involved in.  He DOES hope that next year we'll be able to make it possible for him to play both Lacrosse and Baseball (since it is the first year he'll be in "PITCH" baseball).
I love you so much Kotah and I'm so happy to see you growing and coming into your own.

I can't wait for him to keep getting better and better... LOVE YOU KOTAH
