End of Soccer (for now)

Saturday, May 18th was the final game of the AYSO soccer season... and boy did it go out with a bang.
IT WAS RAINING CATS AND DOGS DURING KENAI'S GAME.  They even called the game at the end of the 3rd quarter when one of the other team's players got drilled in the face with the ball.  There wasn't a single parent/spectator complaining.
This was Kenai's FIRST trophy/medal/award for sports so he was super excited :)  Way to go little man!  Here's hoping they'll accept my offer to coach his age group NEXT fall/season.
After Kenai's game we went home and got some warm cocoa and ramen noodles before heading off to Kotah's last game of the season.  It was no longer raining, but there was one corner of the field that was nothing but a swimming pool (well almost).  Lucky for us, it didn't matter because we KILLED the other team. We were even playing down a player and only allowing ONE player (who hadn't scored in that game yet) to shoot.  Every other player, 7 of them, scored AT LEAST one goal each.  It was a great finish to a fun season.  We went 5-2 for the spring season, and the two losses were by ONE goal :(
SOOOO.... MUCH.... FUN!!!!
