July 20, 1929 was the day LaVada Rae Cullens was born. Here she is 83 years later. She has since been married (M. Fred Johnston), raised 4 children and enjoyed watching 16 grand kids come to earth and this is my picture of her with (my) 3 of her 21 (almost 22) great grand kids. My grandma's house is a favorite for my kids. Most mornings my mom is able to take my kids with her down to my grandma's house in Hooper while I run the 4ish miles either from my mom's house or our own house (isn't that interesting that she is nearly the same distance from both our houses?). The boys have grown to know how to swing on the swings and having apple fights with the apples that have fallen on the ground. Kaiya knows that when she walks in that door she will be able to get A) a cookie B) some candy or C) BOTH and with the way she is able to sweet "talk" her great-grandma she usually walks away with multiple C's haha I love my grandma. Her middle name Rae is where I got the "Rae" in Kaiya's middle name RaeLynn :) She is a great example and has been a pioneer in her own ways for our family. Great memories for a GREAT grandma.
