Jeremiah still works nights so even though we were excited to get away for a few days and hit the mountains, he had to wait until his work week was over to head up to the Uintahs. That didn't keep us from sending Kenai and Kaiya up with my parents a day earlier than we could get away though. We headed up as soon as Jeremiah got home from work early in the morning, meaning I was the one driving with Kotah keeping me company while Jer slept.
We hiked into Alligator Lake on Friday. 4 miles in and 4 miles out... these kids sure can hang. Kotah and Kaiya each carried out a rock from the lake "just because" and those boulders felt heavy after not too long, BUT neither one of them was quitting and they both achieved what they hoped for (pictures to come from Jeremiah's camera when I get those).
This road was around on the back of Poison Mountain, where we went shooting (pictures with Jer)
LOVED our isolated camp ground. Even though it was at the trail head, there weren't people coming and going while we were there.
Here's hoping we'll get away another time before football or at least school starts again.
