June 2016--- What a busy month.... Take a seat and prepare for family activities overload.

June 15th...
Kotah had the Rendezvous Tournament (lacrosse) in Layton. There is a splash pad at the park so in between the games I walked over with Kenai and Kaiya... there was also a dunk tank that the kids were allowed to play with/in.
Friday, June 17th...
Kotah was invited to the Roy Aquatic Center with some friends so I took Kenai and Kaiya for some fun of our own.
Kenai had wanted to try baseball this spring, but with everything that was going on in our home it just wasn't possible. I promised him we'd go to the batting cages now and then to make up for it. THIS day was our first (I was a slacker mom) He got to go 4 rounds and during his 2nd one he didn't miss a single pitch. He had so much fun. Kaiya tried for one token (I ended up helping a little) she got hit in the thumb and got a bruise, but she still smiled and laughed every time she swung the bat. After sweating in the heat we went to the Riverdale splash pad to cool off.

June 23rd- above, Kaiya had her final evaluation and graduated from the Waterford Upstart Online Preschool program. She tested into the "ready for 1st grade" level... on now to Kindergarten to get RE-ready for first grade.
June 19th
This is the 2 year anniversary of our purchase of our jeep... Oh, ya and it was Father's Day. Fun times.
After we finished with sitting by the fire, Jeremiah decided that it would be fun to sleep on the trampoline with the kids, and THEY LOVED IT
July 1st... Kenai asked for a hair cut

My mom is still in Las Vegas so we have been fortunate enough to have my dad spending time with us... We went and RE-checked out some home we were looking to put an offer on, one became a non-contender and the other we discovered has some property boundaries issues that need to be cleared up and resolved BEFORE we are willing to put in our full potential offer for the property.
Back on Jun 2nd the kids started attending a summer running program in Riverdale. They don't go every time, but it is held on Mondays/Thursdays. When we are in town and not "too tired" to get up we are there bright and early for the 9 o'clock fun.

Park City, UT
Kotah's team was participating in the lacrosse tournament, but Friday night before everyone retired to our rooms for the night we got to go with the team (well, at least some of the team) and had fun bowling, playing arcade games, and playing pool. Kaiya loved this game...
...the boys enjoyed getting to play pool. Kenai won once by default (the other boys lost by scratching) but he still strutted around like he was the King haha.
What a fun group of boys Kotah is lucky enough to get to play with. He will miss these boys when they move up next year to the older age group.
We got together again with some of the players at Fat Cats in Ogden, it was such a good idea to fill the time between tournaments.
June 24/25 The Patriot Games... Kotah's team went 2-2 and beat the team that has a few of Kotah's friends playing on it. He had 3 goals in that game alone, but little did he care. He just liked getting to be with his friends that he didn't get to play with during the regular season. I got this picture of Kaiya and Kenai with their friends eating their "icees" with The Patriot.
SPRING LACROSSE
This year we were all set up and registered to play with Bonneville's program. This was for a few different reasons. Kotah wanted to play for his comp coach and he coaches with Bonneville's program. We did NOT want to play for/with the coach assigned to Kotah's age group (concerns we had openly expressed to the Roy program's director)... Well, the week before we were to start practices we were informed that Roy had petitioned (or whatever it is they did to file a complaint) with the lacrosse programs to "get their players back" except that they didn't enforce it for all their players that had gone elsewhere this year, JUST OURS.
We were given NO CHOICE in the matter and were forced to play with Roy. Kenai had a fun year even though they only won ONCE.... they played both Davis teams twice and Fremont's team twice... we didn't get any variety in who we played and they lost all of those games. Kenai had many goals in spite of the difficult teams they played, as well as assists. He played center Mid-Fielder.
Even though he was put into an impossible situation, Kotah handled it with grace. He was an All-Star and was able to help teach his teammates that were playing for their first time. Goals were scored, assists were accomplished and his team finished 5-2 (both losses were to Fremont)
Kotah has one game where he scored the first 7 goals before anyone else, even the other team. One of those goals is pictured below.
He is getting better at facing off and being able to adjust his stance/technique in order to gain an advantage on his opponent. No, he does not win every time, but being able to make adjustments has helped him be able to read his opponents in other areas of the field also.

Kotah participated by building an air propelled "boat".
He took 5th place behind others that had build some for prior years.

Well known stars were Doris Day, Elizabeth Taylor and Paul Newman."
He executed his lines just perfectly with the right amount of pause between lines and sounding smooth and clear in the microphone.
