What a fun day I had with Kotah at Camp Kiesel for scouts. It is so much fun to get the opportunity to spend the day with Kotah and his friends.
He LOVES getting to do all the activities offered at Day Camp... Here he is on the LEFT shooting the BBguns
Next was archery... He was so glad these bows actually shot pretty accurately, compared to the bows last year.

Kotah's FAVORITE (and I'm sure every one's favorite) was the boats
...we got soaked and we did a great job soaking the kids in all the other boats as well...
After getting to cool off in the water, the boys were able to enjoy the rope walk/obstacle course
Kotah had so much fun with baseball this year. He was very lucky to get to play with the group of boys he did and under Brady coaching. These 8 boys played together the last 5 games of the season. They qualified for the post season with a win in June... they then played June 29th and won... played the 30th (after Kotah had spent the day at scout camp) and won again... so this night, July 1st was the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME... they lost, but taking 2nd with 8 (sometimes7) players in the last few games. What an accomplishment.
We did NOT get up and go to a parade, or off to a park to play... INSTEAD we took the kids over to the Layton Splash Pad. The kids played here for about 2 hours... they ran all over the area, it was so much fun watching them play together. NOT ONCE did they fight, or pick at each other, or say a mean thing... they were the BEST of FRIENDS the entire time.
I was so happy to see my kids playing as wonderfully as they were with each other (while others kept picking and pushing, and being mean to one another)
...later that evening we took the kids to see HOME at the Kaysville Theatre... the kids enjoyed it (as most kids would) 2 days later Kenai lost his OTHER top front tooth and was SOOOO excited.
This was a fun day with the kids. I drove down to Thanksgiving Pointe (Lehi, UT) to meet up with my friend Kristen and her little girl. The kids had never been to The Museum of Curiosity and they liked being able to go all over and just play with everything.

Our kids fight with each other, just like all other siblings... BUT I also know that they LOVE to play together and for the most part this summer has been absolutely wonderful with them spending time with one another. On July 11th (7-11) we went swimming at the Roy Complex for FREE then stopped for FREE Slurpees at 7-11
July 18-19th was Kotah's last Lacrosse Tournament for the year.... I was so excited for him to play, really we all were. Kenai and Kaiya because it would be the last one of the season and Jeremiah and I were because we have watched him grow so much in just the last 2 months with these COMP TEAMS.
On Friday they WON their first game, it was so much fun for the boys. They ultimately went 1-3, but almost went 2-2, and they other two teams are 2 years older than Kotah's team.
This picture is of Kotah before his LAST game of the season... He LOVES this sport called LACROSSE and even though he has not been "required" to practice he has been playing nearly every day this week.
When we left Saturday night, after all the games had been played and all the awards were awarded we took off for home. Kaiya had ran around so much all day that we had hardly hit the freeway heading home from Heber when she was out... which was longer than Kenai made it. Poor kid had been sick all day, without telling us. We stopped at Walgreens before heading home so he was drugged up and sleeping long before Kaiya and he slept the whole night and pretty much for the next few days.
July has been a wonderful month. Jeremiah is now working a different shift and we are able to see him more and are getting to spend more time together as a family and it is WONDERFUL! The rest of the year always flies by so quickly... we move from football to school to birthdays and then holidays come and go leaving us trying to hold on to every little moment. I LOVE my life. I LOVE my family. I LOVE that my kids are so awesome and active in their lives.
