Man, oh man had this year just FLOWN by or what??? I have a hard time realizing that it has been that long since I held this precious little girl in my arms for the first time. At what point do our little babies turn into these fun loving, rambunctious, running, screaming, lovable, destructive toddlers? I swear she was still a baby just a short 6 or 8 weeks ago...
This picture is so cute... We started the day off with one of Kaiya's favorite things to have for breakfast... PANCAKES. Jeremiah was already long gone to work by this time (as in his shift was about half over by now).
I had a relaxing, lazy, playful morning with the 3 kiddos until Jeremiah got home a little after 1:30PM. We had nap time and then got the house picked up for company coming over later in the evening. We went to an early dinner at Jeremiah's Restaurant where Kaiya had some eggs (for the FIRST time) and some of her HUGE scone we ordered for her... She still has NO TEETH so she is still somewhat limited as to what we can/will feed her.
(notice her fingernails painted... that is one fun thing I'm learning to do while she is sleeping)
After dinner we headed home and my parents came over (my sister got sick so her family didn't come and apparently there was some "lost in the communication" issue between my brother and myself/my mom so they didn't come over either) My kids were so excited anyway to get to play with Grandpa. He will get down and play as the horse while the boys take turns being the Indian riding their horse or the "dead" body they are picking up and taking to get buried... NOT sure how this all started but it has been going on now for like a year or something like that. IT is, HOWEVER, quite a fun sight to see :)
Kaiya had no problem getting into the bag and finding her presents from my parents... a cute little outfit (of course) and her very own Cell Phone that will play songs and speak whenever any of the buttons are pressed.

I put Kaiya up in her seat so we could sing to her without her grabbing the cake...
BUT you see the upper right hand side of the pan??? That is where she grabbed hold and got her fingers in the frosting so quickly... the little stinker :)
When we lit the candle and started singing she had the HUGEST smile and started to laugh.
(She is holding the candle in her right hand while stuffing her face with the left hand)
She liked the frosting the most I think. When she was finished having her cake there was actually quite a bit of the CAKE left, but not a single little bit of the Frosting.
She is so much fun to have in our family. We wouldn't trade our Spunky little FIRECRACKER for anything in this world. We love you so so much Kaiya!!! I hope you continue to be as loving, happy, and exciting as you have been in the first year of your life. (another post will follow after Monday's Dr.'s Appointment)
