Been a While

Although when we look back on this last year many will say how terrible and hard and difficult it was, our family will likely tell you, "Yes, there were some hard times, but all in all it wasn't a terrible, hard or extremely trying year."  We were sent home from school the middle of March and didn't return until the fall for the next school year.  We had spring soccer canceled for Kaiya and softball as well.  The boys' lacrosse season was postponed from the spring into a condensed season in June. In July the boys started football at the Jr. High and Kaiya started soccer again in August.  We were required to wear masks seemingly everywhere we went, and didn't get to attend in person church but still it wasn't miserable.  The kids started school and things were "back to normal" with the addition of mask wearing (at least for our family). I stopped going to the gym and haven't been back, Jeremiah is currently in the process of organizing all of our new gym equipment in the garage.  Kenai tore his ACL in October and had surgery a month later in November.  He is still at the "return to sport therapy" and will be for the next 3-4 months. He's planning on doing football again in the fall (WITH HIS BRACE HE'LL GET). Kotah participated with the UNDEFEATED NAL team and then moved right into Basketball at the Jr. High (yeah, he made the team). From there he moved straight into Lacrosse in February.  He was anticipating getting to play with the JV team since he's a freshman, but after tryouts and organizing players into positions he was told he'd play varsity... and not only that but he's started all but 2 games (I think...) The team doesn't have a winning record, but with one more regular season game tomorrow they do have 4 wins and they SHOULD win tomorrow, too.  Then they'll have a first round playoff game come Thursday.  Kaiya's tried Futsol over the winter months and had a lot of fun.  I think she was only on one team that lost (and that was to another team that might not have had a winning record if it weren't for all the filler players they got for most games (including Kaiya for a few) Her spring season has been good, they haven't lost a game yet. I coached Kaiya's basketball team and we went 6-0 for the shortened season. We are starting softball games this Wednesday and we'll see how that goes... this is the first year of the players PITCHING and its UNDERHAND (as softball should be) Tank is growing and growing.... today is his 2nd birthday.  We have adjusted and grown as a family this last year, really the last 2 years. We've had a lot of sad moments, but OH BOY have we had WAY MORE HAPPY ONES.  Life is full of experiences and it is up to us to decide which way we'll respond to them. There's the quickest update ever from our family.... now if only I can spend a little time each day for the next little while to get more details up on here so I can print them off. Much Love, Sharcy
