Kenai's birthday was Friday, September 12th.
As he walked up the stairs that morning he was bombarded with singing and loves and kisses from Mommy and Kaiya. Kotah was seated at the table eating his breakfast already. For breakfast that day, we had Grilled Cheese sandwiches. He got dressed and headed off to school for a fun-filled day with his friends.
After school (when Jeremiah was home from work) we had my parents come over for presents. He got some clothes, both from us and my parents, a wallet with $4 as well as a few candy bars (from the grandparents)
As soon as he'd opened his gifts he tried on his clothes and HAD to wear them that night (and the next day to school)... notice his wallet in his hand??
Following the gifts he helped make the 4 cheese mac-n-cheese part of his dinner.
Saturday we went to dinner at "Pizza Pie Café" after the soccer and football games. Then on Sunday we gathered together at my parents' place so we could have cake/ice cream with my brother and his family. Birthdays aren't usually just a one day even around her because its more like "lets get as much celebrating in as we can".
We sure hope you enjoyed your birthday weekend Kenai. We love you so much and wish you'd stop growing up so quickly, but we're very pleased with the little man you're growing into.
